How to Enable or Disable Comments on All New Articles


Important: This setting only applies to comments going forward. It does not delete or remove existing comments on any WordPress pages.
 

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Go to Discussion.
  4. Check or Uncheck Allow People to Post Comments on New Articles:
    • Checked: Enables comments.
    • Unchecked: Disables comments.

How to Enable or Disable Comments on an Individual Page


Important: This setting only applies to comments going forward. It does not delete or remove existing comments on any of your WordPress pages.
 

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Go to Pages.
  3. Go to All Pages.
  4. Click Edit for the page you want to modify (Quick Edit also has an option to disable comments).
    Edit
  5. Click Screen Options.
  6. Check Discussion.
  7. Check or Uncheck Allow Comments:
    • Checked: Enables comments.
    • Unchecked: Disables comments.
